NEW OBJECT FOR RAPID ASSISTANCE

Data

In 2016, there were over 3,200,000 accidents at work in the European Union only, of which more than 3,500 were fatal.

The growing needs in the field of occupational safety require an automatic warning systemfor communicating accidents and/or assaults to the personnel, especially when working alone.

Injuries detection

The app Nora responds in a transversal way to these needs. Through a smartwatch it can constantly detect the user’s movements in non-intrusive way. Its algorithm translates these movements into data and finds out its range, thus being able to recognize when they are due to normal movements or to injuries.

Operation

The base of Nora is the constant interaction between smartwatch and smartphone. The smartphone allows the system to keep a constant connection with the Operations Centre and, if it detects a dangerous situation, it will automatically send a geolocalized warning that allows the fast intervention by the rescue teams.

Smartphone

The smartphone allows triggering and executing Nora. Through the 4G/LTE connection, the smartphone can constantly exchange information with the Control Room, as well as send text messages to the emergency list.

Smartwatch

The smartwatch is a safe and practical device that allows the constant detection of the warning parameters, without cluttering and preventing the user’s movements. It is provided with accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, RH and brightness sensor. The display is available in 2 different size: 1.2″ and 1.3″.

Features

The configuration of Nora allows setting all the parameters to trigger the warning (acceleration, alarm time-out, etc.) and to adapt it to each user.

The app Nora it is always on, in background, to allow the constant monitoring of the user.

The Control Room is a web-based application. All devices connected to Nora can be monitored and their geolocalized alarms can be received.

The alarm can also be manually triggered, either by pressing the button on the smartwatch screen or the physical one on the watch.

By vibrating, Nora communicates to the user both the correct sending of the warning and the intervention by the Control Room.

In addition to the user’s user data, Nora allows entering multiple emergency contacts to which the alarm can be sent.

The geolocation can be deactivated by the user; however, if the alarm triggers, it will be automatically reactivated and sent both to the Control Room and to the emergency contacts.

Nora detects any sudden movements caused by assaults, injuries and accidents. The system automatically triggers a warning that can be deactivated by the user within the pre-set time frame.

When Nora. detects the user’s fall and the subsequent immobility, it will automatically send an alarm after the pre-set time frame.

A smartphone connected to Nora can send a pre-set text message containing a link with the user’s position to the emergency list.
